Well, hello there!
Thanks for visiting. Here are some fun facts about me! I have 5 busy kiddos and somehow the energy to keep up with them . I love to run and hit the gyn many times a week. I run a couple marathons a year. I hardly sleep and I love to travel, even if its for a quick weekend.
I grew up in the Chicago Suburbs and I graduated from Northwestern University. My junior year I took a photography class back when we were using a dark room to develop film and digital cameras did not exist! Alas, I fell in love with the clicks of the shutter. I started taking photos everywhere of landscapes and architecture. When I had my first baby in 2005 I truly fell in love with taking photos of people, expressions, moments. The idea of creating a memory that graces a family hallway is what drives this passion. The relationships I have gained over the years from photographing families over and over is an added bonus!
I love to shoot outdoors in natural light however, I do have a studio in downtown Joliet, IL that I use during colder months and for sessions needing to be indoors.
I started this business 11 years ago on a whim that families would like me to take some pics! It quickly exploded into a full time gig which eventually became overwhelming. Several years ago I went to work full-time and currently work in a real estate law firm in Hinsdale.. I couldn’t give up photography and once I scaled back a bit it quickly became a hobby and art again instead of a job. I do shoots weekdays mid afternoon or later and limited weekends. I do themed mini sessions throughout the year as well.
